DEM was appointed by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) to act as Architect, Interiors Architect and Project Manager for their Business Resumption Site (BRS). Priority security concerns were creatively balanced with many other design constraints such as sustainability, accessibility, initial and life cycle costs, natural hazard mitigation and other external threats, fire protection, energy efficiency and architectural aesthetics.

The two-storey building provides a sophisticated data and financial dealing facility as well as permanent office accommodation for 55 staff and emergency work stations for a further 165 staff with a small number of enclosed offices, meeting rooms, staff amenities and ancillary spaces.
