City Quarter
Camperdown, Sydney
Developed from 2000 to 2009, City Quarter incorporates terraces, apartments and commercial and retail space in an Urban Village environment.
DEM was commissioned to create a masterplan for this unique 6.5 ha site as well as design the open space network and several of the residential buildings. 'Aquilon', comprising 129 apartments, was the first new building constructed as part of the development and features 'loggias’ or ‘indoor / outdoor rooms’. 'The Terraces' provide a transition between the larger blocks of the development and the existing traditional terrace houses of adjacent areas.
A residential community located on the site of the former Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children.
810 dwellings, commercial and retail facilities, and extensive heavily landscaped open space.
