Chapel Hill
Como, Perth, WA
Redevelopment of the Como Baptist Church, Perth.
For over 88 years the Como Baptist Church has been the “Light on the Hill” providing worship, education and support to the community of Como.
The development proposal retains existing church functions on the site and provides additional facilities for expanded and enhanced church uses as well as new retail and commercial facilities and apartments.

The design approach redevelops the site as an open precinct providing the opportunity for the Church to integrate with the neighbouring residential community and incorporate the following uses and facilities:
-
Worship and ancillary spaces; a reception and greeting area; Church run café; and meeting rooms.
-
Other community facilities including an Early Learning Centre, men's shed/workshop and Seniors day care.
-
A ground level publicly accessible plaza.
-
Commercial space for restaurants, cafes and retail at ground level to activate the plaza and adjoining streets.
