DEM celebrates 40 years as leaders in the design of Data Centres and Mission Critical facilities.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of DEM being at the forefront of Data Centre design and technology in Australia and across the APAC Region.
For over 40 years DEM has delivered an extensive range of digital infrastructure projects including traditional in-house owned, operated and managed data centres, large highly secure co-location data centre facilities, hyperscale and cloud based data centre facilities through to the latest state of the art AI based data centre facilities and AI factory designs.

THIS IS OUR STORY
IBM Headquarters at Cumberland Forest in north-west Sydney.
DEM designs and delivers customised mission critical digital infrastructure and data centre facilities for clients such as Westpac, Telstra, Sydney Water, the Sydney Stock Exchange, South Western Area Health Services and Global Crossing.
Global Switch West Campus in Ultimo which was at the time the largest Data Centre development in the southern hemisphere.
DEM commissioned to design and deliver the RBA’s Business Resumption Centre and back up data centre facility in north-west Sydney and Bank Negara’s Primary Data Centre in Cyberjaya Malaysia.
DEM delivers numerous Modular Data Centre projects nationally for Metronode - now known as Equinix.These facilities were the first of their kind employed in Australia and the APCA region and have become the forerunners of other modular data centre roll outs and current Edge Data Centre facilities.
DEM completes the second stage of the Global Switch Campus in Ultimo delivering an additional 40,000 sqm of data centre accommodation within the City of Sydney.
DEM appointed by AirTrunk to establish their original Basis of Design and first two data centre facilities at Huntingwood in Sydney and at Derrimut Melbourne.
DEM successfully designs and delivers numerous Hyper Scale Data Centre projects for Microsoft nationally and peer reviews the design of several DC projects across the APAC region.
DEM commissioned as Lead Architects to assist DCI with the delivery of numerous Data Centre projects nationally and within Australasia.
Global Switch Australia / DigiCo commission DEM to prepare the design and documentation for the DigiCo East / West Campus Expansion at the facility in Ultimo.
Our latest Data Centre projects are focused on delivering new technology that not only supports the challenges of AI but also adopts the latest sustainability initiatives to reduce energy and water consumption.
