DEM was commissioned to design and document a new two storey building for Banksia Road Public School incorporating four learning spaces, and administration and staff facilities. The project also addressed improvements to school access and enhancement of landscaped areas.

The design was developed in accordance with the Department of Education's future-focused approach to learning and teaching by incorporating innovative learning spaces that will be mobile, flexible, varied and connected. The spaces are to support opportunities for students to learn independently and in small and large groups, as well as to support collaborative learning and teaching for students and teachers.
