Pulau Besin Resort, Myanmar

Pulau Besin, located 6 km to the west of the border of Thailand and Myammar, was designed as a totally interactive themed resort island. It consists of international gaming facilities, animated resort hotels and duty free and tax free retail all within a tropical island setting.

Upon arrival at the island, the visitor becomes an adventurer on a personally chartered quest, passing through a series of layered scenarios each with a different character and puzzle to be resolved. A bold new and diverse landscape was created to maximise the physical attributes of the island and reinforce the sense of place. In order to produce an integrated resort, the landscape was designed as an extension of the buildings and also as a series of experiences or quests, forming important components of the island adventure.
