St Johns Park Bowling Club
The pavilion features full height glazing along the south-eastern façade, to allow uninterrupted views of the greens, and highlight windows to the north to allow the building’s main space to receive natural light.
Refurbishment of a central section of the Club’s complex, in the area vacated by the existing bowler’s facilities, was also undertaken to create a new sports lounge. Additional undercover parking spaces for the Club were also provided through retention of an existing on-grade open car park below the new building.
The extension was integrated with the existing club through adoption of similar building massing and setbacks as well as the use of complementary colours and materials.
An extension to the existing St Johns Park Bowling Club incorporating a two storey Bowler’s Pavilion building with purpose-built facilities for the Club’s members and visitors, and improved access to the bowling greens.
