Central to the vision for the centre was creation of a non-institutionalised care experience and a collaborative and inclusive facility focused on addressing the needs of those living with MS in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Facilities including therapy areas, lounge and café, gym and multi-purpose spaces were located on the ground floor to ensure they could be easily accessed by visitors. External activity and break-out spaces, providing flexible passive and active recreation areas for individuals and groups, were seamlessly connected to the functions within the building.
The centre also incorporates administration offices on the first floor of the building and separate on-site accommodation units, designed with universal access, for people living with MS and their families.
