A masterplan that evokes and reinforces the essence of place, stati8n was created by DEM for the Beijing residential market in a degraded suburb adjacent to an existing theme park. Focused around ‘The Port’, a transport and retail hub, it borrows it’s brand identification from the idea of ‘station’ as a remote self-sufficient place that incorporates the essence of everything required to support a contemporary lifestyle. It is an innovative themed precinct based on enhanced experiences of colour, texture, light and shade, order, chaos and exhilaration.
stati8n creates a new and different environment that contrasts to other residential communities. It gives the buyer the opportunity to purchase into the lifestyle experiences as suggested in science fiction films such as the ‘Minority Report’ and ‘Gattaca’.
